Prof. Charu Watts, Faculty School of Business, joined the University of the Fraser Valley in 2016. She teaches in the area of Accountancy and Statistics. Prior to joining the University of Fraser Valley, India. She was tenured Assistant Professor at Kanoria P.G Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Jaipur. She also taught at S.S.G Pareek P.G College and Management College, Jaipur.
She is presently pursuing Ph.D. in Accountancy at Department of Accountancy and Business Statistics, Rajasthan University, Jaipur. Her topic of research “Effects of Basel III Implementations in Indian Banking Industry (A Comparative study of Selected Indian Public and Private Sector Banks)”
She secured the first position in Master of Philosophy in the Department of Accountancy and Business Statistics. In her research, she studied the Performance evaluation of Public & Private Life Insurance sector. She has also contributed her research in ethical conduct in work life, a Paradigm shift in accounting and reporting practices.
She obtained her MBA in Finance. She has been a member of National Entrepreneurship Network.
In addition, she is also a post-graduation in commerce with specialization in Accountancy and Business Statistics. She has taught Accountancy and Statistics at the graduate and undergraduate level holding 7 years of experience. She is UGC-Net qualified in Commerce.
