PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Become eligible for the University of Windsor Master of Applied Economics and Policy by first completing the FVI Global Masters Pathway in Chandigarh.

Have a three-year Indian bachelor’s degree? Start with the Global Masters Pathway (GMP) at Fraser Valley India in Chandigarh to become eligible for this program (Note: Student must fulfil all UWindsor program requirements in order to become eligible).

Study at the Department of Economics at the University of Windsor
Study and live in the picturesque city of Windsor, Canada. This hub of international engagement is Canada’s southernmost city and directly borders the USA city of Detroit.

Four distinct program features
Your program is comprised of four distinct parts delivered over 16 consecutive months:
  • Five core courses;
  • Series of specialized electives;
  • Courses in both management and business communications; and,
  • Policy project.
To complete the program, you are required to successfully complete 13 courses. No thesis is required and there are no examinations other than the course examinations.

Your program places special emphasis in preparing you to utilize large amounts of data available to professionals in government and business to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of government policies and business projects.

Through a multidisciplinary approach to policy analysis involving economic courses, business courses, communication workshops and an exciting research project, you will have all of the tools and experiences needed to begin a career as an Economist.
